Pinnacle Specialists is a dedicated team of Recognised Veterinary Specialists and experienced qualified nurses offering advanced and up-to-date knowledge for the most appropriate care for your pet. Appropriate care means we will do our best at all times to give you the best possible advice, to make the best possible decisions and to focus on quality of life, not just quantity of life.
We are based at The Veterinary Hospital, on the outskirts of Maidstone, less than two minutes drive from junction 7 of the M20. We are easily accessed from London or from the Kent/Surrey/Essex regions. The driving time to us from Dover is around 40 minutes. The driving time from the M25 junction (with the M26, M20 or M2) to us is just 20 minutes. We have excellent hospital facilities and your pet will benefit from around-the-clock care during his or her stay with Pinnacle Specialists.
Please be aware that as a Specialist practice we see referred cases only. We provide care for pets who are suffering from conditions which may be difficult to diagnose, difficult to cure, or require Specialist management. These conditions may be chronic, long-term diseases or acute, sudden onset problems. For many cases there is usually benefit in seeing a specialist - however, please speak to your local Veterinary Surgeon in the first instance. You are entitled to a referral opinion and your GP will be able to refer your pet to Pinnacle Specialists at your request. This helps maintain clinical continuity and patient safety; a Specialist will need to obtain your pet's full medical history from your general practioner.
Our facilities include:

Access to a wide range of state of the art medical laboratory tests at national and international institutions, not available to general practice. On-site laboratory for emergency assessment including wet biochemistry testing, accurate blood gas and acid-base interpretations, clotting assessment etc.

Work in a normal veterinary surgery typically provides a demanding work load and many GP's will often seen 20 to 40 cases per day – a close parallel to the situation experienced in Medical General Practice for us! There is often insufficient time and expertise to come to a full diagnosis and establish an optimised treatment plan in general practice. That is why GP's refer difficult cases to referral centres for Specialist help. Your pet will receive the individual attention they need under Specialist care.
