Our office opening hours for general enquiries or in-patient enquiries are 8.30am – 6.30pm, Monday - Friday.

If you are contacting us in writing, please state clearly on any correspondence all appropriate names (Owner's, pet's, Vet's) along with a one or two word description of the nature of your query (eg. “Insurance”, “Clinical”, “Internal Medicine” etc.) in order that we can ensure that your query is addressed by the appropriate person as quickly and efficiently as possible. When contacting us by e-mail please include these details in the subject line.

Is your pet an in-patient with us, or has your animal recently visited a Pinnacle Specialist?

If your pet is an in-patient, please don't worry; our Case Nurses or Specialists will usually try to contact you twice a day with updates - more frequently if there are concerns. Quite often they will call you outside our normal office hours (8.30am - 6.30pm). At Pinnacle, we are fortunate to have 24 hour care provided via both our own veterinary staff and the experienced veterinary staff at PETS Ltd (the Pet Emergency Treatment Service) who are co-located at The Veterinary Hospital, Newnham Court. If you do need to contact us outside normal office hours, please call on 01622 734054 (please note this is an out-of-hours number for the owners of in-patients only or for those owners whose pets are actively under current treatment or have recently been seen by a Pinnacle Specialist).

Are you a Veterinarian in need of help? Emergency Referrals: out-of-hours contact for vets

Referring veterinarians with urgent queries (either for pre-existing cases or for new emergencies) can contact us out-of-hours on 01622 734054. In the first instance you will reach a member of the Pet Emergency Treatment Service (PETS Ltd) who can direct your call to Pinnacle Specialists.

Please note that Pinnacle Specialists and the primary care practices (Newnham Court / PETS Ltd) are separate practices co-located at The Veterinary Hospital, Newnham Court. Pinnacle Specialists is a REFERRAL ONLY practice. PETS Ltd veterinarians see emergency cases only from other registered primary care practices; they do NOT take referral consultations for Pinnacle. They can at your request, refer a case onwards to Pinnacle Specialists.

We will always refer your client back to you, their primary care vet. Please note; animals that you have referred to Pinnacle Specialists will not be registered with the primary practices (Newnham Court / PETS Ltd) co-located at The Veterinary Hospital. This is an understanding which has been formally agreed between all parties.

Pinnacle Specialists are registered and regulated by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

In addition, our Specialists are registered and regulated by the recognised Specialist Registration Boards (European / Royal / American Colleges).
