At Pinnacle we offer specialism across a range of disciplines, facilitating the detection and treatment of a variety of canine injuries and ailments. If your dog has chronic or serious symptoms or simply a mysterious set of clinical signs, or if he/she responds poorly or unexpectedly to treatment, it may be appropriate to consider consultation with a Specialist.
Similar to the situation in healthcare for human patients, there is often a need for GPs to refer patients to hospital Specialists for definitive diagnosis and expert care. We are a Veterinary Specialist Referral Centre and therefore we provide consultation on the basis of initial referral from your first opinion Veterinary Surgeon. For the care of your pet you are entitled to request a referral consultation with a Specialist, but it is best to discuss this first with your local veterinarian. This helps maintain clinical continuity and patient safety - a Specialist will need to obtain your pet's full medical history from your general practioner. If your pet needs to be seen urgently please ask your vet to telephone us. We can then discuss your pet's current condition and medical history and arrange an appointment directly with you as soon as is possible.
If you would like your vet to refer your pet to Pinnacle Specialists, please print off the following fax-back form. Please give this to your vet and ask that they either fax the form back to us, submit your pet's details online or simply phone us: For all the above reasons, you must initiate an appointment through the General Practice in order to get the best for your pet.
