Referring a Case to Pinnacle Specialists

At Pinnacle, our Specialists cover a range of disciplines. This enables them to draw upon one another's knowledge and expertise in more complex cases or those involving multiple systems.

From an administrative viewpoint, we aim to keep the referral process as streamlined as possible, allowing you and your staff to focus on running your practice. Please provide us with the pet and owner details and a member of our Customer Services team will contact the client directly to explain our service to them, book the appointment and provide them with any relevant additional information (directions, terms of business etc.) The Service Representative will then contact your practice to confirm that the appointment has been booked. We will also request a copy of the medical history and original lab results / images. You're welcome to write a letter of referral to us, but we're not offended if you don't have the time!

We provide 24 hour care, 365 days of the year for our referred clients through 2 means: (1) direct care from the individual Pinnacle Specialists and Case Nurses; and (2) supervision via experienced on-site PETS emergency vets.

Please note that Pinnacle Specialists and the Newnham Court primary care practice (PETS Ltd) are 2 separate practices co-located at The Veterinary Hospital, Newnham Court. Pinnacle Specialists is a REFERRAL ONLY practice. PETS Ltd veterinarians see emergency cases only from other registered primary care practices; they do NOT take referral consultations for Pinnacle.

We will always refer your client back to you, their primary care vet. Please note; animals that you have referred to Pinnacle Specialists will not be registered with the primary practices (Newnham Court / PETS Ltd) co-located at The Veterinary Hospital. This is an understanding which has been formally agreed between all parties.

You or your practice staff can initiate a referral by contacting us in one of the following ways:

  1. Completing our Direct Referral Form on this site (see the menu on the left-hand side of this page) and sending us the pet's medical history and any relevant lab results either by uploading them directly onto the form, as an e-mail attachment or by fax on the same day;
  2. Completing our Easy Referral Fax-Back Form, which can be downloaded from this site (see the menu on the left-hand side of this page) or requested from one of our Service Representatives, and faxing this to us together with the pet's medical hsitory and any relevant lab results, on 0845 305 4203.
